Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Centre

While we were there the Space Shuttle Discovery was waiting to be launched. As a bit of trivia - the shuttle is sent to the launch pad 2 months prior to launch.

Unfortunately couldn't be there for the launch day - after 2 weather delays the shuttle was successfully launched on the 4th of July (coincinding with Independence Day and the birth of Kathryn Florence Kennedy - congratulations Helen & Jonny!!).
