Blue Mountains

After the Hunter Valley we headed into the Blue Mountains for some hiking. The contrast between the two is amazing as the weather is much cooler in the mountains and many people from Sydney head to Katoomba to escape the summer heat.

The lack of rain in the New South Wales has lead to numerous forest fires which consume thousands of hectares of land – you can see just how much has burnt in some of these photos.
