Milford Sound

The other Fjord we visited was Milford Sound – we started the day in rain which rapidly progressed to a full snow storm. The only road in, was closed for 2 hours while they cleared over 2ft of snow from the other side of the mountain tunnel.

When we made it through we were greeted by bright blue skies and hot sun – it really is a country of 4 seasons in a day (or an hour!)

For the photo of Steve in the bow of the boat, what you can't see is about 100 Japanese tourists standing beind where I took the photo - forever the showman!
