Los Angeles

LA was a bit of a shock to the system after the peace and tranquility of Fiji. Being back in a packed city took some getting used to. We stayed in Hollywood which contrary to what you might think is actually rather a shady area of town. The good thing was that Beverly Hills and Bel Air were round the corner so we could quickly escape to the 'posh' side of life.

We did the tourist thing and went on a tour of the stars homes which was pretty good. For a couple of days the backpacker lifestyle was gone with 'window' shopping on Rodeo drive and eating and drinking at the restaurants on Sunset Boulevard.
