Santa Monica & Venice Beach

The beaches at Santa Monica and Venice are superb, huge white expanses of beach with volley balls courts, basketball and exercise equipment all over the place. If we lived here learning to roller balde would be compulsory.

Unfortunately the smog here and in central LA is really bad so the days tend to be fairly hazy in the mornings.
