Atherton Tablelands and Yungaburra

From Cape Tribulation we headed to Yungaburra which is in the middle of an area called the Atherton Tablelands. The drive was up the most windy road either of us had been on - the type that makes you feel sick by the end of it. The petrol gauge on Big Red was moving so erratically Steve was convinced the garage had siphoned off petrol when they fixed the radiator cap earlier that afternoon.

The view from the top was worth it though!

Next day we visited some of the main sights - most impressive of which was the Giant Hanging Fig Tree - which started out as a parasite on another tree before killing it to become a huge curtain.
